nevermind my last post. i'm a dumbass for just skimming the pinned
topic on caching. was trying to add the &bpc=1 to my application url
when adding it to my profile. adding it as part of the request only
works just fine.
as a side note, did not have my iframes working properly either. :)

i don't think it is a server or browser caching issue. i'm serving up
my page with my expires header set, browser is not caching it
correctly - and my app is still cached by orkut.

Appending the &bpc=1 isn't the only thing you can do. What you also
want to do is disable cache in your browser. The person above me
suggested doing ?no=2 ?no=3 and so on, which is basically tricking
your "browser" (yes browser, not Orkut or anything else, but the
browser) into thinking that
u can add ?no=1 at the end of your url...next time ?no=2 ..?no=3 and
so on..this will work...plz chk

What I've found is to add &bpc=1 to the url and change the name of
your xml every time you make a change.
