Hi Guys, Consider a website which has a user profile system and requires the users to be registered to perform user community operations like rating, comments etc. If such a website wants to build an orkut application, they would need to link the user orkut account with the website user account especially if the existing website user wants to link his current account on the website to the orkut account. To simply the linking of user accounts, it makes sense if the FIRST thing the orkut app does is ask the user to link an existing account or register for a new one from the orkut application. Is this allowed?
Can an orkut application display a "Link your existing account or open a new one" page as the FIRST page as soon as the application is installed by any user? This approach can considerably simplify account linking process. I came accross an application which has been approved by Google and which does just this: http://www.orkut.com/Main#Application.aspx?uid=8215361787149207169&appId=54672863008&rl=ls Please let me know.
