There have been alot of questions regarding SSL so I thought I'd clarify
a few things.
Orion supports SSL but for export restriction reasons we don't supply
our own SSL implementation. Instead we make it possible to plug in other
SSL Implementations. It's very easy to fit most SSL package

With JDK1.3 Orion starts without exceptions.
