Hi Alex,
I've also disabled, that orion deploy's my ear into a specific deployment
directory. This I've done by removing the attribute 'application_deployment'
from the element 'application-server' in 'ORION_HOME/config/server.xml'.
Hope this helps.

Just put your classpath in the /lib directory in Orions root. It works fine for
directory structure in that directory and if you need to really specify something
different or choose .jar files or something, edit application.xml in the config
directory right after this line:

Hi,
I've a 'war' with a servlet. All needed jars and classes for the servlet
resists under 'WEB-INF/lib' in the war-file, but orion doesn't find it
automatically.
My workaround is to build an 'ear' and in the root 'META-INF' I put an
'orion-application.xml' with an element which explicitely

Orion supports unpackaged .WAR and .EAR archives.
unpack your app in your applicattions library so that it looks something like
.../orion/
/applications/
/myear/
/META-INF
/com
then just reference the /myear
The Servlet and JSP is not so difficult becuse orion compiles the source
and the .class/.java files are all in the filesystem
How is it done with EJB's since the EAR / WAR files must be built to
deploy?
Of course it's possible. As a matter of fact this is the default. Try
installing and using news demo (which uses servlets+EJB)

I'd like to use EJB at the same host where my servlet server works.
Is it possible to access it not thru rtemote interface ?
I'd like to have EJB iin the same JVM as servlet engine.
