Silly question, but how do I know what my OTRS home dir is. This is a default
Debian install. I believe it to be /usr/share/otrs 'coz that's where my Kernel
and other sub-dirs are.
su - otrs;
cd;
pwd;

'find . -name otrs'
This should return the relative path from your Present Working Directory (PWD)

I ran "./SetPermissions.sh /opt/otrs root www-data" and this has sorted my
System, SysConfig problem out - I now h

I used a 'New Customer' option too, but just allowed users to manually input
information in to OTRS rather than autopopulated from our database.
It sounds like you want to go down a similar road and have a database table
holding all your customers - which you could add to via OTRS.

I have been trying to workaround the same problem.
The issue is that images will not be rendered within a CGI directory.
If your set your ScriptAlias to the domain's root '/', the alias '/otrs-web/'
becomes a subdirectory of the CGI directory.
