We converted our OTRS installation from MySQL to Oracle. For the most part,
the migration was successful. The only issue we are having is that the
"Content" column in the Article_Attachment table needs to be encoded in
BASE64. Is there an easy method in which to accomplish this conversion? Is

We've upgraded our OTRS installation from 2.4.5 to 2.4.8 and I'm receiving

We're trying to convert our OTRS database from MySQL to Oracle. I can
authenticate as the root user account but can't authenticate as any of our
other agents. The error log states that the user account "doesn't exist or
is invalid". The data in the users table appears to be fine as I see the 16
We are trying to implement OTRS using an Oracle 10g database. We're using
IIS and Perl Activestate in our environment. I'm encountering several
errors with the install. I've created several agents and cannot

I'm trying to figure out a way to auto-set the ticket responsibility of
incoming e-mail tickets. I can see how to set the agent/owner via the
generic agent but I can't determine a way to set the agent responsibility
for incoming tickets. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

We have multiple users belonging to multiple companies or in our case
locations. I've followed the recommended steps in the admin manual by
assigning each customer the same customer ID (separated by a semi colon).
When an agent opens a ticket for the Customer, the Customer ID field is

I'm using the default language of English but all date formats are being
displayed as DD/MM/. I'd prefer to have the values set to MM/DD/.
I haven't modified the setting in the en.pm file. Any thoughts as to where
it's pulling this format?

Lars,
Under user preferences I set the option for "New Ticket Notification" to
"No" for each agent. If an agent has this set to "Yes" then they will
receive all New ticket notifications regardless of state. I then created a
new Notification Event for New Tickets. I set the following paramaters:
Upgraded from 2.3.4 to 2.4.2 on IIS6 with a MySQL DB. The dashboard is not
displaying anything under "New Tickets". Also, each time I click on the
dashboard there is an error generated in PerlEx.

You can disregard my last message. I apologize as I was a little premature

I'm running OTRS on an IIS 6 box with a MySQL backend DB. I've upgraded to
2.4.2 without any issues. Under 2.3.4 I was only receiving new ticket
notifications in my monitored queues if the ticket was left in an open
state. Under the new build I'm receiving notifications even if a ticket is

I've opted to do a manual install of OTRS with ActivePerl on Windows. Are
2.3.4 and 2.4.x compatible with ActivePerl 5.10.0.1004?

I've configured a manual installation of OTRS on a Windows 2003 box. For
the most part the program works correctly. I can send messages via an SMTP
and manually pull messages into a queue via the "Run Now". I can't
configure a task to pull the mail automatically. I've seen some posts
