I'm testing all the aspects of the new version of OTRS after years of being
way behind. I can create new tickets but the system is unable to send mail
out, when I try to create a new ticket or respond to a ticket I get an
Apache 50 Internal Server Error.
My httpd error_log file says...

RPM to install, but am getting a 500 Internal Server Error. My Error
log states:

And as far as i know my permission are set correctly:

I installed using the rpm, and haven´t changed any permissions
yet.
Most files are owned by apache:apache, /opt/otrs/var is otrs:apache
What permissions have you given?

installer.pl (or login.pl if you install manually).
This has something to do with the perl version and mod_perl, i
haven´t solved it yet, maybe someone has?

After trying to run the installer.pl file to kick off the install

I was getting this same error yesterday, and it turned out that syslogd
wasn't running and OTRS wasn't happy because it couldn't talk to
syslog. I haven't been following this thread and don't know if this is
your specific problem, but it's easy to check and could be worth looking

Trying to install OTRS 1.2.2 on ALT Linux system with apache 1.3.29.
I've done everything needed (I already used to install OTRS 1.2.1 on Red
Hat 9 successfully). And I didn't forget to set all needed permissions
