I've leaved it as is being the default time enough for me but yes, what you
are saying is right, the ticket that is declared as "closable" at 00:00, at
00:01 will be closed.

This is all very well, and I understand that very well.
Basically, what you're saying here is this; at 45 */2 * * *,
otrs.PendingsJobs.pl, will run to check all pending tickets, and if a ticket
is found to be of pending state, the script will check the timer, and see if
its time has

populates otrs crontab over more other things. one of this is

Thanks Marco,
Can you help shed some more light about how this goes in general?

Hi all,
I checked the admin guide, and found that auto close+ means Successful, and
auto close- means unsuccessful.
But I tried both, and the timer expires, and still the ticket is not closed.
Is there a configuration setting, such as a minimum timer or so?
I had the timer set to 10 minutes in the

Hi Alexander,
no, in my case running the PendingJobs.pl job perfectly changes the state of
the ticket to what I set in Ticket::StateAfterPending ..

Ok, I've guessed out the problem, which indeed was a misunderstanding in the
way OTRS manages the "pending" state. I thought that the ticket's state
would have been changed as soon as the timeout was reached, but it is
instead changed by the PendingJobs.pl cron job, which by default runs every

Based on the otrs file in /etc/init.d and in /etc/sysconfig for redhats like

Thank you Marco,
I must have been missing something quite important.. I didn't even know
there was such "otrs" service at all :-O

I don't think it's a problem of that but a not scheduled PendingJobs.pl

i'm trying to setup the pending auto-close feature but it doesn't seem to

Can this be because I've changed the default state names? I've however

I noticed that when you set a ticket to pending auto close, if the user

Is it possible to change this so that when the customer replies, it takes
the ticket back to '02 - Modified'?

Hi
My pending auto close doesn't auto close tickets, instead it says

Why is this?
