advise against using lenses that won't open up to at least
f/2.8.
They don't have to be top of the line lenses but they should be
as good as you can afford and chosen with care. Yes, flash will

That can happen with most shoe-mount flashes. Even the old
Vivitar 283/285 workhorses were weak at the shoe. However, you
could get replacement shoes for them. There is/was even a metal
replacement shoe for the Vivitars.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the shoe is replaceable on
my AF500FT

was made for the 50mm f/1.2. It fits a 52mm filter size. I
have them both. I use the HS-12 on my A50 f/1.2, works great.

frequently is a pretty good preventive measure. Lenses that

What kind of resolution do you think it takes to do a very good
4 x 6 print? I could show you some printed on an HP PhotoSmart
100 that were made with a Fuji DX-10, a 0.85MP camera. That's
the print size most APS shooters get and I doubt if you could
tell any difference in quality between the Fu
