Add another voice in support of this lens for fun shots. I got a chance to borrow the predecessor - the F 17-28 - at a PDML meet back in the days of film, so When I got the K10D I also bought the DA 1-17. Here's a shot from a trip to Seattle last week: http://www.jfwaf.com/temp/blackbird.jp

The DA 12-24 is better than good. I used it for my "Welcome" shoot this weekend. I wanted to use a prime, but I needed a bit more than 24mm. But at 22mm, the DA 12-24 was outstanding. The client was very pleased and commented on the sharpness of the images. Paul -- Original message

Hi! Derby I just found on the eBay that Sigma can be had for $450 while Tamron is 3 times this figure. I can easily justify the $450 taking into account that I recently sold $300 worth of gear, but $1,325 is way out of my reach. Do you have any experience with Sigma 14 lens? Boris -- PDML
