Backup Drive #2 is disconnected except for when the backup is done.
Backup Drive #1 is usually connected and available, to ease workflow.
When I'm going to be away for any time, Backup Drive #2 and the
redundant backups on DVD/CD writable media go off-site for

Here's my procedure:
1) Download PEF files to External Backup #1.
2) DNG Convert new PEF files to DNG files in new subfolder of current
year folder on internal drive.
3) synchronize PEF archive on External Backup #1 with External Backup
#2.
3) Sort, edit, whatever to new work on internal dri
