Hi.
The test for the backtrace() function was failing due to the prototypes
nclude/gdbm -I./include -c
test.c
gcc -L/usr/local/lib -L/opt/gnu/lib -Wl,-E test.o -o test -lnsl -ldl -lm

This is on my Debian "sid" system - 'gcc' is version 4.2
CC has been getting slower for compiling other code, when
building Parrot, and in particular the core_ops_cg.c file, GCC has been
getting much, much better.
