The phillips bulbs might not be adequate, but there are certainly other
alternatives.
using microcontroller & computer software might do the trick to change
RGB led string to follow beat, something in the lines of what they do
with TV images

So it doesn't look like it would be possible to get the lights flashing
in time to the music, but some sort of "mood"
