Win 7 Pro "comes with" a license for Windows XP. At least I didn't have to enter a license when I created the WinXP virtual computer on the Win 7 Pro boxes. You do have to go through some kind of "validation" process with Windows 7 Pro to confirm that it is a valid license before you are allowe

I'm setting up all clients on Win 7 Pro and then installing the Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP SP3 in that, with my FoxDos 2.6 running very happily in the WinXP virtual computer. It even works on multi-core CPUs (which regular WinXP on a multi-core CPU would not without some tweaking.) Mike

Why not just catch the docs coming in and via one license convert them back to any flavor older version you want? Just write a service that polls a folder to see if anything is in there. As you copy the documents to the "processing zone" you identify the nasty "X" versions and flip them in the
