New Solaris package for testing RC1 of puppet here:
http://garylaw.net/packages
Note this will never hit the OpenCSW/Blastwave mirrors as they have a
'no betas' policy.
Feedback to me or this list.

it's done.
I'm not delighted about patching the code at packaging time, and no doubt
this will violate some csw packaging rule. I'd be a lot happier with a

Hi
A user has just sent me the following bug report -- and patch to fix -- for
Facter on OpenSolaris:-
$ /opt/csw/bin/ruby --version
ruby 1.8.7 (2008-06-20 patchlevel 22) [i386-solaris2.8]
here's the backtrace with stock facter:
$ PATH=/opt/csw/bin:$PATH facter
/opt/csw/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/fa
New Solaris packages here:
http://garylaw.net/packages
These are already in the testing repos for OpenCSW and Blastwave, expect
them to transition to current and stable in the coming months.
Feedback welcome.

Hi
Yeah, there was the use of pkg-get and pkgget as names in the original.
pkgget looked like an alias for pkg-get, but my ruby isn't good enough to be
sure, so I

Note the diff is for illustrative purposes; not to be applied. This is
a new provider backend.

Hi
I've written a package provider. It's intended to replace or augment
the pkg-get based blastwave provider (which doesn't work properly,
because pkg-get doesn't work properly).
It's intended to be a minimal change from what's in blastwave.rb. This
