Richard, go to angle in the composer, item properties, click the drop down at
field name angle,n choose your preferred angle. Also make sure you lock the map
layer so the text or any changes you make in the composer, doesn't affect the
map layer n vice versa

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to auto Rotate text in Composer?

Can not reproduce it in QGIS 2.8.1 on Windows 8.1. Thought you might have a
"hidden character" like a carriage return. This will show the category
twice, but still for me with different colors. If you have a download link

Actually it's seems just to be a problem from conversion to the new version.
I cannot replicate the bug with a new project, created on version 2.8.
So, I will not fil a ticket yet. Will see if I can better identify the bug's
