The QGIS package I downloaded was http://www.kyngchaos.com/files/software/qgis/QGIS-2.6.1-2.dmg which I thought was the most recent version. I no longer have the GDAL Complete URL in my browser to verify what I downloaded, but the dmg file is called GDAL_Complete-1.11.dmg, and it's dated Dec. 7

SQLite3 is NOT needed separately. Are you sure you downloaded the most recent GDAL Complete and QGIS? There was a change in December in SQLite3 (part of GDAL Complete) that required a rebuild of QGIS. So if you have an old copy of one and new other, they won't work together. QGIS and GDAL ver

I downloaded the following from Kyngchaos (http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/qgis) and installed them on a Mac OS X 10.7.5 in this order, and QGIS with GRASS seems to work fine: 1. Install GDAL 1.11 Complete 2. Install NumPy  (included in the GDAL download, per the GDAL Readme) 3. Install Matplot
