The QGIS package I downloaded was

which I thought was the most recent version.
I no longer have the GDAL Complete URL in my browser to verify what I
downloaded, but the dmg file is called GDAL_Complete-1.11.dmg, and it's
dated Dec. 7
SQLite3 is NOT needed separately. Are you sure you downloaded the most recent
GDAL Complete and QGIS? There was a change in December in SQLite3 (part of GDAL
Complete) that required a rebuild of QGIS. So if you have an old copy of one

I ended up installing GSL separately just in case. (And I made sure I
already had MatPlotLib.) But it's good to know that, at least in the
mailing list archives, we've straightened out the fact that as of 2.6,
it's not necessary to install GSL separately.

10.7.5 in this order, and QGIS with GRASS seems to work fine:
1. Install GDAL 1.11 Complete
2. Install NumPy (included in the GDAL download, per the GDAL Readme)
