Subject: [ro_ist] Fwd: IST event 2006 - open calls for exhibition and conference
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

The next IST event organised by the European Commission will take place from 21-23 November in Helsinki. One of the main themes will be ICT research objectives and procedures under the new Framework Programme (FP7, 2007-2013). At the same time, the event aims at supporting Europe's innovative potential in developing and rolling out ICTs.

The IST 2006 website: http://europa.eu.int/information_society/istevent/2006/index_en.htm

If you would like to participate in the conference or exhibition, please note the following open calls:

1) Exhibition (deadline 21 April)
The call is open to any organisation involved in European research and development or in associated support activities, and is not limited to EU-funded projects. The allocation of stands to candidates will aim at presenting visitors an interesting, where possible hands-on experience of what ICTs offer today and in the near future. Visually appealing, interactive exhibits will be preferred.

All relevant information on selection criteria, equipment of the stands and input requested from applicants is available from the website:

http://europa.eu.int/information_society/istevent/2006/exhibition/index_en.htm

2) Networking sessions and workshops (deadline 15 June)
The Seventh Framework Programme brings new challenges to the forefront and addresses an ever broader range of research disciplines and stakeholders. The networking sessions and workshops at IST 2006 provide an open forum for exchanging views and ideas on how to address these challenges. Networking sessions provide a meeting place for communities that possibly never worked together before. Workshops present the state-of-the-art in a domain and provide a platform for knowledge exchange and learning.

Manuela Speiser
