Hello all, My name is Aleks. I have only been in Pittsburgh for a few short weeks. I have lived outside the United States for the past seven years working as an international journalist. I am about to jump off the high diving board into a career change to IT, specifically Ruby and I sure could use some help from any of you in acquainting me with experiences and opportunities that might make this possible. I have gone through several online tutorials and books on Ruby and Rails, but I find it best to learn by doing and collaborating on projects.
