*Sharepoint Database Admin* Washington DC 3 Months …Only GC and US Citizen F2F interview is required *Position Description: * Acts as a recognized technical expert and functions as the highest-level individual contributor in SharePoint database Administration. Responsible for configuration and maintenance of a SharePoint Server or a Farm. Promoting user adoption, developing and implementing a governance plan, implementing compliance and discovery, negotiating SLAs, enforcing ownership of applications and sites with stakeholders, collaborating with developers and testing backups is an essential part of the SharePoint Admin’s duty. Additionally, will provide expert technical analysis, recommendations, support and assistance to IT staff during the migration from the local ITS web server to a Microsoft SharePoint solution. Provide industry “best practices” for installing, configuring and maintaining a SharePoint environment. Responsible for the SharePoint server and database management and will specify the physical infrastructure required, install SharePoint, provision and configure web applications, and provide top level security administration. Will provide training to our IT staff to include: deployment practices, SharePoint central administration, monitoring, maintenance, backup and restore procedures, disaster recovery, and management of Shared Service Providers. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. *Specific tasks will include the following:* · Specify hardware requirements · Install software and configure as needed · Configure document management and sites as needed · Review security and authentication methodology and provide recommendations on best practices for providing a secure environment · Gather, review, and advise technical requirements and deployment plans · Gather and review preliminary end-user business requirements and provide technical assistance analyzing user needs, translating them into requirements, and developing associated SharePoint solutions through system analysis, capacity planning, integration and quality assurance · Determine preliminary design objectives · Evaluate how best to incorporate the existing CAFC applications and integrate and customize SharePoint applications with existing custom-developed applications · Establish required information architecture · Design and implement SharePoint security, including authentication, roles, user groups, audiences and item level security · Specify a detailed server configuration and perform the technical installation, configuration for the Share Point environment · Manage and document any customizations during implementation · Create an overall site map and a departmental site map (Home, Policies, Procedures, and Search etc.) · Provide recommendations for server(s) performance, network upgrades and WAN considerations · Provide failover and disaster recovery analysis and recommendations · Configure and integrate components of SharePoint, such as InfoPath forms, MS Office Apps including Outlook, Excel, and MS SQL reporting services *Must Have Skills: * · Solid knowledge and development experience in SharePoint design, implementation services and the ability to contribute high quality, scalable and effective SharePoint solutions. · Extensive experience with SharePoint physical and logical architecture, server capacity planning, managing multiple servers in a farm environment, scalability, setup, network, OS and licensing requirements · Extensive experience with SharePoint application requirement analysis, logic architecture, detailed design, content database design for site collections and apps, and knowledge of the capabilities and business functions of using SharePoint · Familiarly with SharePoint development and customization. · Experience with SharePoint integration between accessing existing systems and accessing · SharePoint content through web services or API from other systems. · Experience in defining and implementing SharePoint database models. · Experience installing, configuring and maintaining a Sharepoint 2013 environment. Knowledge of SharePoint 2016 on-premises or a hybrid environment a plus. · Experience developing workflow solutions to automate existing manual organizational processes. · Solid understanding of ITS, Active Directory and Mail Configuration. · Experience with the configuration of Business Connectivity Services for connecting to a SQL database or a WCF service. · Strong understanding of what can be done using OOB features in SharePoint. · Familiarity with and able to follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies for all projects using our Team Foundation Server (TFS). · Excellent problem solving, designing, coding and debugging skills. · Must have solid technical skills and experience in architecting, designing, developing, configuring and deploying Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and related components. · Specifically, must be familiar with SharePoint features and be proficient in; installation & configuration of MOSS 2007 in a multi-server farm environment, certified in MS Windows 2003, expert in ITS 6.0 with a full understanding of DOTNET applications, strong understanding of MS SQL Server 2005, a good understanding of network and connectivity issues along with a working knowledge of MS Active Directory, a proven history of MOSS application deployments, and a thorough knowledge of security aspects/permissions in SharePoint environment. · Must also have knowledge of installation and integration of SharePoint with 3rd party tools and packages e.g. Enterprise search, Schema logic, CARM etc. · In addition the position will require significant experience in using a standard process to design, build and implement high quality solutions based on MS SharePoint. The person must be able to make informed recommendations pertaining to MS SharePoint information and site architecture, infrastructure, software implementation and web parts design, testing and deployment. · Specifically, recommending and documenting best practices for software configuration, site permission policy, and architecture and site template management. · The individual should possess the ability to lead and mentor other team members in the MS SharePoint product. The ability to coordinate SharePoint systems integration and QA testing are key components of the position. · Must have a Bachelors or Master’s degree in a related field and 7 years of related experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years of SharePoint administration experience. · Excellent oral and written communication skills.
