*Cognos Developer with SDK ROSELAND, NJ 07068 Duration6 Month(s) Contract Need Locals only.* *Must-haves* -5-8 years of experience in a Cognos development role, not administration -Experience doing dimensional reporting within Cognos (star schema, OLAP querying and MDX) -Experience doing report building within Cognos version 10.2 with report studio -Experience working with Cognos in a java environment -Experience with SDK (software development kit) doing application customization *Plusses *JSON or javascriot experience *Role:* Candidate will be responsible for report writing, building reports, working closely with the business analysts to identify requirements. Candidate will do proof of concept work, prototyping, application customization with the SDK (software development kit) in a Java programming environment. The process they will be using is the user interface for these java applications will send request to Cognos via traditional URL call or CMS (cognos mashup service) to do query building. Cognos returns 2 different data sets, either XML or a rendered chart via JSON.
