I want to replace apache with KPF (a KDE file-sharing applet) to share a
directory. Does anyone know how secure it is?

ng times out every time you connect - one
popular problem is DNS (for example, it might be doing a reverse lookup on
your IP, but doing it in a way that never succeeds, forcing it to time out
before accepting). I don't know exactly how you would go about finding where
that's from though
servers and clients that support
some form of encryption, like I have with POP). I'm planning to use this too,
but since it's only for a private online access system and it will be running
on the mailserver, I plan to put it in a restricted section of my SSL server.

After making copies, I moved the .bak onto the other one and started
a check. It's running now with no errors yet (and it's taking a while). Would
this be from just before my last update? Is there any way to work with the
corrupted database?

ripwire.org, tripwire.com, and on google and I can't find any
references to that error messages or a manual for tripwire. Has anyone seen
this before? What can I do?

small
it will check all ports (instead of just ~1500 ports). HTH
