Why not just turn on auditing in windows
I know that is maybe simpler then you were thinking but you can audit
successful logons which is what you were asking for help with in your
post.

Because "any server" is more than "any domain controller" in most
domains, all you can do is to enable security logging on all servers and
Dumpsec, formerly Dumpacl from Somarsoft.

Somarsoft's Dumpsec (previously Dumpacl) will do what you want...it's cheap
but not free.

DumpACL is free now - I have found this very useful for creating output
files with last logons, expired or locked accounts, group membership, ACL's,
etc. It's worth a spot in your admin toolkit.
