I am looking to reacquire a set of the Chicago Golf 944DB Wide Sole irons.
CG seems to be gone. Any of you guys have a 5-PW set of the heads around.
Used is fine.
I don’t post very often but have been reading ST since
the beginning.
I am looking at some new irons and am interested in the FST
shafts. My favourite iron shaft was the original Apollo Ballistic trimmed
between an A and R flex. Which FST shaft would be most similar. I may try the

I'd be interested in 8 of the iron shafts if they are the original.

We had a minor snowfall this week, nothing that stayed. Its going quick and
should be all gone in a couple of weeks. I have started hitting balls out of

I'd like to get at it now though. Understand you guys had a nice w

BTW where did you come up with such a good deal on the Apaches? Its still my

I have a friend who has 19 and 22 Rescue Mids and would like them reshafted to DGR. I have read here that the hosel bores are .370. I need to know if I should order wood or iron shafts as replacements.

An oldie but still goodie is the Chicago Golf 944. Small but
surprisingly forgiving head, progressive offset, progressive cavity
design before such designs were in vogue.
I regrett selling the Wide Sole model I played for 4 years and may get
another set of heads.

I have a couple of Apache PM30+ wood shafts, R1 or R2 flex. The problem is I cannot remember how they were tipped. If someone has one around that is untipped or tipped a known amount, could they measure fro the tip to the band on the butt end that has C.F.I on it? I can then figure out how much the

Actually we are probably turning into wusses this year. It has been
unseasonably mild since the end of Sept. The golf course was open into
late Nov. and people were playing on it until early Dec. Not much snow
either.

Thanks for the thoughts. I have only played with the guy once and he
says he wants all woods. I was thinking of adding a 50 degree PW, SW
and maybe LW.

I have been asked to put together an all or almost all wood set for a

The only real problem I have with this is what is the next logical

Never measured it. Taking into
account the listed weights for the head and shaft and what you would
expect the swingweight to be I made a guess. It still is a sizeable
chunk moving around in there though.

I purchsed a SE FF320 driver head last fall and had it shafted with a

higher than I anticipated at D5 and does not work for me. It also
developed a rattle so I was going to have pull the shaft anyway. I

I know we are not supposed to do this but I need some help. I am in

John,
I have found(with the help of a couple of STer's and alot of
experimentation) that I like irons that are a soft R or A flex and
woods that are stiffer. My standby driver(966SD/PC50 combo comes out
around a 6.0 at 44". I also like my fw's to be on the stiff end of
regular.
David,
The ZT wedges are at GolfQuip for $6 Canadian each. I had the 54,58,
62 and like them alot. Still use the 58 as my lob and the 54 couldn't
get my becu Pro Wedge out of the bag but I did like it. Had no room
for the 62. I think these are great wedges and well worth the price.
Kevin,
Get a Chicago Golf 966SD. Better than a bertha with a similar look. Great club.

A friend broke the shaft in his TM320 driver last night(don't throw
clubs at your bag) and would like to replace it with the same or
similar shaft. Anyone have a TM Lite S90 pullout to sell or advise on
what a similar shaft would be. its a .350 tip I believe.
Anyone try these in a fw? How would it compare to the Apache PM30+?
If you email [EMAIL PROTECTED] I bought some from them last
year and they said they had plenty left. It is Supershot Golf in
Edmonton. Golfquip still lists some on their website(golfquip.com).
These are both Canadian suppliers.
