If you pre-curve the balsa sheeting for the tips, it won't sag. To
pre-curve it, simply find a form of large enough diameter, wet out the wood
a bit with a damp rag, then tape the wood to form. Let it dry and there you
go, no sag.

I agree with the other regarding printing the foils and sticking them to the
plywood.
I also recommend the use of Laminex (Bench top material) rather than ply.
The ply often causes wire drag. The wire can also burn into the ply causing
ripples. I find that I can get away using ply maybe once
