I use an Edwards high vacuum pump and use 29.85 inches of vacuum (1 torr) on all my foam core wings then put 120 lbs of lead on top of the cores. I estimate the total load on the the cores to be about 2500 lbs. I've never squashed a pink foam core. Anything over 15 inches will probably do. F

If it can happen it will. After flying my 3M stilletto for an hour I launched as normal, Tx and Rx on. The Rx is a little loose in the nose. Half way up the launch the plane drifts left and accelerates into a roll, with no control. Strikes the ground inverted at about 5 degrees shearing off
