I like the Icom IC-R2. It will let you setup any of the RC freqs (27,
50, 72MHz) and much more. I also like to listen to full scale comms on
it as well.

Hi Gloria,
We've just reintroduced out Plane
Packs. They carry even the largest sailplanes as well as most of the
accessories needed to fly them. You can see them and our Tube Socks at www.jtmodels.com.

I have the same camera setup and am constantly amazed by how well it
works. One of the features that I really like is the burst mode where I
can hold the button down and the camera just fires away. I haven't
experienced any lag in storing images yet which is just amazing
considering how large the
Hi All,
I've had a Mantis kit in the box for 4 years now and want to fly it this
season. Does anyone know where I can get the "Pretty Mantis" fuselage?
Like to do that mod while making the plane. Also plan to order the
X-tail from Phil.

Hi All,
We're continuing to update our website as time permits. I've just added
pages with contact and ordering information for those that are
interested. Also added pictures of a red Plane Pack and updated a few
other pages.
Thanks for the bandwidth.

Hi All,
I know this is off topic but I need help with a mixture ratio for ACP's
tooling resin and thought someone here might know. My digital scale
died and I can't find one locally. The mixture ratio on the can is 10:1
by weight but no mention of mixing by volume. Anyone else use their
I've had an IC-R2 for years and wouldn't be without one now. I use it
at work to monitor full size aircraft as well as monitor R/C bands.
It's been through the wringer a couple of times and has bounced off of
the tarmac more times than I like to admit but still keeps going strong.
Highly recommend
Hi Guys & Gals,
Some time ago there was a thread about using a Foretrex GPS in a
sailplane and then later plotting the flight in "3D" on a computer.
Unfortunately a Windoze crash lead to a complete wipe of my hard drive
and I lost all of my links to the site that discussed the software

Hi JD,
It's the FAA's opinion that we should know about the rules, NOTAMs, etc
and should find out by our self. There have been several postings on
RCUniverse about the subject and the FAA individual say the info (i.e.
the AC) is out there and it's our responsibility to find it. Typical

Actuall, here's a link to the doc on the FAA site. Much easier to read.

Hi Mark,
Actually, there is an FAA AC 91-57 that 400' is the

Jim,
I've seen this site before. Projects like this are the reason that the
FAA wants to regulate UAVs (and RC aircraft) flying under autopilot or
video downlink. This case is specifically mentioned when they talk
about having to control any aircraft in "their" airspace. It doesn't
apply to RC

Hi All,
We're making the new Plane Packs 66" long to be able to make a "one bag
fits all" product. It will be available for two piece or three piece
wings (the three piece will cost a little extra). I'm currently working
on our website and will have pictures and prices online within a week or
