a short antenna using a coil of wire wrapped around something like a

This is interesting. I've seen a micro electric Piccolo Pro with this
kind of antenna but didnt know what it was called. What is it called?
Was it made or bought?

My receiver antenna has been cut and the end lost.

Thank you

Is there a rule of thumb for the length of an antenna? I know that people
run antennae through carbon booms, but that makes the entire internal
antenna worthless, as the carbon absorbs the great majority of EMR.
So there winds up being a little squiggle of antenna out of the back,
which I thin
Don't forget about the remodulation to compensate for subspace interference?

Hi Bill:
Just to add a little to the discussion we should clarify the unknown 5%
reduction
in length of the receiver antenna. The calculation made by Art is
correct for the total
length of the antenna. Since the inductance and capacitance of the
receiver is part
of the antenna. Arts calcula

Our antennas are quarter wave length thus the math stated by Art Mcnamee is
correct. Though his stated 5% reduction is something I've never heard of.
For channel 11, a quarter wave antenna would b
