I just checked the schedule for the Nats. It
is after all the time to get the new vacations lined up before anyone else wants
the same week off. Anyway, I noticed that Friday lists RES but not
Nostalgia. Is this correct? No NOS this coming year?

For us golden age types, I have a Midwest Lil' T kit for sale. It's a 74"

part: it's designed for single-channel rudder only. The box says "Ideal

Nostalgia is now an AMA event and the rules are on their web site. I
think they are still on the LSF web site but these are now no longer
official.

Looking for the above. At one time I believe Nostolgia info was on the skybench web site. Thanks - Tom
I read the rules but it was kind of unclear. All that
was stated was that you could not change the size or
shape. If it means that each individual component

not legal. If you took the whole assembly (rudder and
fin together) it is legal as I am no

Check the LSF website.
There used to be a page with the Rules on it, as provided by JAck Iafret, as a coursety to the soaring public.

I have a question for the Nostalgia rules type guys
out there. If I have a design with a balance tab on
the rudder and change it to a straight rudder is it
still legal. All sizes and outlines of the vertical
fin and rudder are unchanged except for the balance
tab.

...Here's a question that illustrates the inherent paradoxes of a

This was hashed out thoroughly on this forum a few years ago. Apparent
I just had a look at the Legionair 132 plans that I

I know that there are a lot of Nostalgia fliers that read this list,
that appreciate other nostalgic things. When it comes to these new

Nostalgia question to the group. If for the sake of argument, one was to
build a Legionair and replace the "stock" spoilers with Multiplex blade
spoilers with servos in the wings would this modification make the
Legionair nostalgia illegal?

As you travel the soaring circuit, you'll notice that many people just gotta
fiddle with the norm. Sailaires with flaps, Gentle Ladies with bullet-proof
wings, etc. While I admire the purists -- I fly a dead-stock Sailaire whose
wing is as light as they get, and nearly touches tip-to-tip on a wi

We should learn from the controlline stunt guys. At their Vintage Stunt Championships
everyone is there to compete but

I too think Nostalgia and RES are fun. I personally don't get bothered by competing
against those with more expensive planes. I
like trying to beat a guy whose flying "the latest thing" with a cheap airplane built

the average newcomer feels the same.

As an AMA CD and a Nostalgia enthusiast and flyer I would consider your plane

attention to the "spirit of the rules" rather than arguing and nit-picking

I've read the Nostalgia class rules at
http://www.skybench.com/nostalgia/rules.html and as far as I can tell your Aquila is
legal with either the 'glas or clear hatch.
You might want to contact Ray Hayes and get a "definitive" answer.

I was roaming the www this morning and was at the Dream Catcher site looking
at what was happening with all the Airtronics kits. There was a statement
associated with the Aquila XL kit that said that this ship was only legal
with a fiberglass hatch and not the clear one as on a normal Aquila fuse
OK sport fans, here is the ULTIMATE nostalga kit, NIB Dodgson Maestro Megan!
Kit is new in box. Typical Dodgson style with everything in the kit.
This is the 140" (or so) version. Unlike most nostalgia planes, this one has

He has built a strong spar that will take a zoom launch but, the wing tips
are not torsionally rigid enought even though they are covered with 21st
Century film. They flutter on a hard launch. Wha
