I have seen many a wing tips break off on launch using the stock wing tip jointer. Most everyone in our club builds with fiberglass rods for wing jointers. You can pick them up at a toy store. You know those flags that stick up off a bike 4 ft. They fit in a brass tube 1/4 inside Dia. and are strong. The other problem I've seen is that the canopy breaks when you have a hard landing and the wing comes forward. Just make a solid balsa canopy and hold it on with an inside rubber band. It will give and is easy to fix. I have one more tip, build it with top and bottom spoilers and use a sub spar just after the spoiler. This will help keep the monocoat covering from splitting from the opening that the spoiler sets in when you have a hard landing. I have built and flown the Paragons for a few years when I first started. Its a good glider just don't try to land it like the Fiberglass Fuse Types. It can't take the hard nose landings. --- Larry Taylor --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- CVRC Web Page: http://home.earthlink.net/~cvrcsoaring/cvrc.htm ... CD for Visalia CVRC Fall Festival 2001, Oct.
