Hello,
I have had a couple Zagi's (still do) and I have not

You can put the colored tape on any way you want. It's only there for
decoration. Have fun, Zagi's are a RIP! gv

Hi Guys,
I just purchased one of your Zagi 400 kits. One of my flying buddies
just got one and it looks like its a real blast to fly. I couldn't pass it
up.
I have a couple of questions:
#1 -Can you eliminate the strapping tape and use strips of carbon
fiber
(.007
I've just started puttering with electric, but here is my 2c:
What prop pitch are you using? If you go up a notch or two on pitch, your top speed
(and rpm) will decrease and thrust increase.
Would a gearbox work? Lower RPM, greater torque.
One excellent electric reource is the e-Zone at
Almost everything I've read about the Zagi 400 indicateds that it builds
slightly tail heavy. After dry assembling mine and checking the CG,
though, it appears mine is nose heavy, even if i place the raceiver as far
back as it can go. I'm am using Futaba 3101 micro servos in the predrawn
spots o

It doesn't sound like the elevons even contribute to these cases of wing flutter. It
seems like the wing itself is fluttering long
before the surfaces do.

OK. My Zagi-400 kit is here! My first electric.
I've built one for myself and 2 for customers and, other than covering
them with Ultracote, have built them per the instructions with no variance.
Mine's been flying for over a year now and I have yet to encounter flutter.
I fly it with 8 cells and regularly dive it for speed passes in front of
I had heard someone say that it is recommended to put a dowel in the wings
to prevent the entire wing from fluttering in dive. Is this true?

Dick,
Do you do any type of lay away? I would like to get
that Zagi-400, but don't have all of the funds. I
would like to give you my business, but am worried
that I won't be able to get it at that price
elsewhere. I would like to put some money down to
hold it until I can pay the rest. I wil
Give HobbyBarn in Tucson a call regarding the Zagi 400-E. They sell it with
an upgraded battery!
