Yep... and it's gone already. Nothing to shovel, no
salt holes on cars... well, not from snow melt,
anyway. Today, it's about 62 deg, wind about 5 from
the south, and not a cloud anywhere.
All the beauty of snow in the pines but none of the
hassle!

I couldn't resist this -- its midnight Christmas Eve and I was idly looking
at the US surface map.
Guess what? Its snowing all over S.
Here's another downside. NO MOUNTAINS. Sure it has it's place but flat land
gets tough to stomach after a while.
I pity folks who don't know real sloping. When your setup includes simply
flipping the ON switch, it's hard to imagine lugging and setting up a winch.

That one is easy. We got our first round in when the 'sprinkles' started. We
all ready had 2 tent like shelters set up with our 'feast'. Trying to outhink
Mother Nature, the CD called for a "Lunch Break" and we proceeded to the chow
line. About the time everyone's hands were full with plate

Of course we don't always guarantee the good weather like that. One

Okay. Your going to have to explain that one. You can change the names to
protect the... ah "innocent". :
My one man club tradition is to get on a big silver bird with the two big A's
on the arse end and head to Arizona for the holidays. Now I know Darwin is

as the sky was falling literally about and inch/hour, and tomorr
Now I know your pulling our leg. High starts will stretch but will
not pull back for a launch - they just freeze in place.

You mean you're not comfortable at 110 deg. with 90%
humidity? That doesn't seem to bother me too much. I
hope that doesn't mean the Good Lord is trying to tell
me something...

Thanks for the reminder Gordy. Tidewater Model Soaring Society is holding

Then there's California.especially Southern California. Its cold today
(mid 60s) and its a bit windy, not that good
Hell, 59 Deg is shorts and t-shirt weather up here this time of year. Of
course todays high is only 20 which is probably shorts and t-shirt weather
for Bill's Club up north.
When I was young boy, we used carry the TX, sailplane, winch and battery
five miles through 4 feet of snow. Uphill. And bar
the morning to the upper 50's and 60's at mid afternoon. BTW the
thermal activity was awesome!

I think this falls under the category of "you are nuts."
Here is AZ it is 59 today far too cold to go out and fly. Might take in a
movie though.
It is nice to be able to fly almost all of the 365. Some once asked me,
"when is your building season?" I said that is also 365, it is called night
time
Traditionally, we just pile in the plane and head down to Cozumel for a couple
of weeks of diving and some margartias.
Leaving tomorrow. Forecast is 88 deg. -- -OH SOARING club traditions..
Nope - too cold here for any of that!
:)
You guys have a happy.
See ya next year.
