Sometimes, we stand up a new system or need to install a set of packages to
an existing system based on the package profile of another machine. The
package comparison tool is really useful, but it only gives us the ability
to completely sync one system to another, i.e. any packages miss
Is it possible to install the cobbler version directly from epel rather than
using the version packaged with spacewalk and retain the integration
functionality?
I ask because almost all of our new systems are coming with UEFI BIOS now
and we have to disable secure boot/enable legacy boot mode

have cleaned itself up nicely!
I had also noticed (but forgot to mention) that many of the jobs didn't seem
to show up
or all schedules. You will notice that the "Active From" date will
be updated with a more recent date/time.
Restart taskomatic.
After this taskomatic should behave and pickup the queue properly.

We recently upgraded from 2.6 to 2.7 and we're experincing a strange issue
where our clients are reporting that a hand ful of packages are avilable for
update, despite those packages being installed on the systems in question.
Even when you click on the link to display the upgrade
ons problem.. Disabling selinux and
restarting now lets the service start correctly. Looks like I need to
investigate what selinux is unhappy about.

I'm having an interesting osad problem. osa-dispatcher starts fine on the
server, but from a client, attempting to do a "service osad start" generates
the "Unable to connect to jabber servers" log messages. However, if I
manually launch osad from the command line, either by running
there was a power loss and a battery in a RAID got depleted or the same
scenario with consumer grade SATA drives because they often lie about the cache
state when an fsync is called.

Not if both are configured postgresql will honor the first entry from the

have successfully registered clients that are on the same LAN as my spacewalk
server, however when I try to register a client that needs to travel through an
http proxy server, the rhnreg_ks command just hangs.
