Tom,
Check out the backup instructions here
https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/SpacewalkBackup
You should be able to install all the packages, copy over the
directories, import the oracle database and be good to go.

I would like to start setting up our migration path to Fedora 12, but
I don't want to run into my Oracle limit.

Not sure if its your problem, but spacewalk needs its own fully
qualified domain name. That may be the issue you are running into.

I am planning on doing something similar with inotify cron.
I push a list of packages to install through spacewalk. My plan is to
use inotify to detect when this file changed and then re-run my
yum-shell script.

dba' just fine but after
shutting down the database this method no longer works for modifying
oracle.
I'm sure there is a simple step I am missing, does anyone have an idea?

Have you tried "yum clean all" before your "yum update"? I've seen
that issue cleared up many times with that process.

add a kernel with the ks parameter pointing

Is this something I could maybe do through spacewalk api?

It's been so long since I had that error...
I think I ended up finding the correct .so library and adding it to
LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Hope that points you in the right direction.

FC7 is different then the one

I found the "GPG Public Keys and SSL Certificates" in spacewalk. So I
answered my own question about 2b.

r Question
If I pick a software group to install that is not on my CD1 install
media, will it pull from spacewalk? Or will it error and die that it
can't find it off CD1?
If I can figure all this out, I'll happily post a wiki page explaining
how to kickstart Fedora Core 10.
Thanks,
Kevi
run into going this route?
We will upgrade the lab to Fedora Core 10 eventually, but I would like
to simplify management now and try out spacewalk before that point.
