Job Title : Documentation Specialist Location : Quincy, MA Duration : 3-6 Months contract and may be extended…. The hiring manager has very high expectations - the resource should have a strong development/architect background to analyze the code and create the documentation. In their initial technical interview, much of the questions probed around the ability to speak to: *Strong Core Java *V V Strong JDK 1.5 * JDBC *Servlets, JSP *Should be able to defend Webservices exp in resume *Struts 1 is a must, Struts 2 a + *For app servers - JBOSS preferred but Weblogic or Websphere will work too *Jasper is a + but any other java based reporting tool will work too Ideally the hiring manager is looking for half experienced java programmer and half documentation specialist. Does not want this individual to need a lot of the time distracting his Sr. Java Developers. They have an application framework, called CCF (Corporate Common Framework) developed in-house. Many java development teams use it to build java web applications with the organization. The job involves documenting the framework in the form of developer guides and reference documents suitable for developers. The documentation contains code examples explaining the use of framework. The person I am looking for brings development knowledge so he understands the code, architecture / framework knowledge so he understands how it fits together, and documentation knowledge so he can compose technical training manuals that can be easily read by developers new to the org and/or offshore. Person must be able to function independently, know when to ask for review or collaboration, but not hand holding….
