Jean - just went through a preterm labor scare myself (because of strong preterm contractions); thankfully my daughter was born only 2 1/2 weeks early--which isn't even technically "premature"-- rather than 3 months early, as she threatened to do. What you're referring to are probably steroids

Good morning all!   Last night in my lifespan course, we were discussing perinatal complications. One of the students reported having a preterm baby (27 weeks) and instead of the baby being low birthweight, the baby, at 27 weeks,  weighed 81/2 pounds. She said her physician was very concerne
