I had to tell my husband to hang on while I walked into school today. My balance gets so bad I can't walk and talk on the cell phone at the same time cuz I have to have both arms going to keep me from going down. I do believe I can still walk and chew gum though.

In Calgary we have something called 'Chinooks'. This happens when the warm
Pacific air comes over the Rocky Mountains. It tops the mountains and we
can look to the West when this is happening and see a 'Chinook Arch'. There
will be a bank of clouds above and a perfect arch across the Western

Bob, I saved your last e-mail. It has wonderful info for a SSI visit.
When they denied people for disability, they should tell them what jobs, they think they could be able to do. So at least you can go try and do a job that is on their list. I just don't know what they are thinking.

The problem with
interferons re: Devic's patients is that they just do not work for us.
Historically, patients worsen when being given interferons as opposed to the
heavy duty immunosuppressants and prednisone. Relapsing Devics, can
be so aggressive---as evidenced by what happend to me.
Thanks for the info; I checked out the website and plan to visit a mountain sports shop in town to try them out. They sound as if they'd be perfect.
Peachy in TN.
I have similar problems with my hands. I have weakness and
pain in my hands. I use something called "trekking poles". They are sold in
pairs in outdoor stores and catalogs.
They have straps at the top and look much like ski
poles. They have padded grips and the straps can be tightened.
