Well, I have diabetic neuropathy before it TM.
therefore, I want to know if neropatthy could cause
the myelitis transverse to me.

Me missus was on prednisone after her second
'event' way back in early '99, and yes, her face puffed up and it stayed
that way for quite a while, even after she stopped the drug.

Transverse Myelitis got me in 1996, diabetes in 1998, & breast cancer in
2000. Nothing new since then...that I know about!!

I don't believe that there is a relation between the Diabetes and Transverse Myelitis. But I have heard that the nerve pains are similar. I use an Anodyne Therapy that is used for people with Diabetes with nerve pains. www.anodynetherapy.com. Hopes this helps, Todd in Corpus Christi, TexasPy
I can't speak as to whether prednisone might cause swelling because I was
only on it for 3 days, but I am wondering if something else other than medicine
might be causing this? Would medicine cause swelling in one place like that?
Have you reported this to your doctor?
