Rick,
Just because I brought up the initial topic, doesn't mean that you don't
have the right to apply it to yourself when the same things are happening to
you.
You are darn right...it is scary and especially when you think you are all
alone, or like me...is it all in my head?

Hi All
I have the constant burning pain in my feet. I have just recently (past 10
days) come off of Lyrica and back on to gabapentin. A few of reasons: 1)
lyrica is so expensive, 2) I felt like I was needing the narcotics more,
3) I was wondering if my body was used to the lyrica and neede
Rick,
I have been there and it is hell panic attacks are awful... My first
attack was a thousand years ago on the Wilson bridge stuck in traffic... I
will never forget it. I thought if I didn't get out of there I was going to
just start screaming... I felt like I was trapped!! I still have them
Rick,
You have accomplished more every day than most people accomplish in
a lifetime, and that is living with TM.

Am I being foolish in believing that I haven't gotten worse in my 3.5 yrs since

the possibility of spreading the same as a paint chip? If a paint chip is
fixed it won't rust. My MRI shows "scarring"
My legs throb, burn and ache 24/7, and it has only gotten worse over the years. I have taken just about everything and none of them really ever eliminate the pain & discomfort. I think I have just gotten used to it. That along with the constant fatigue and back/trunk pain have all stayed mostly t
I wonder if it is that the TM makes things worse (my understanding is that
it's a one-time thing with residual symptoms rather than a progressive
illness), or that normal aging feels worse because of TM -- all the aches,
pains,
etc., are magnified because of our sensations.

Natalie, I had that same burnins sensation on the bottom of my feet. I
don'tknow wht but that sensation was replaced with a vibrating type feeling
that is more agrivating than painful. Although it does hurt. I know that your
pain is also hard to explain. These Doctors cannot know how that pain

caused by TM as we age. Disheartening.

The same thing happens to me. I too have stepped onto some tiny little
thing on the floor that could be a small stone from outside about a quarter
of the size of a kernal of popping corn but 'oh boy' it feels like someone
has jabbed my foot with a huge needle.

Hi all-
Hope you all are well. We've got couple of meetings
coming up in Texas. One in the DFW area and one in
Austin. Take a look at the Texas TM website for more
information:

All TMers and their support systems are welcome!
Thanks!

Gunny,
I've done much more than that already good buddy. I have a letter that
a State Senator wrote for me. The actions of this condominium board
are governed by the Federal Fair Housing Laws of my state. So my

I have had TM almost 7 years and have sort of hit a plateau. Because I was in
a coma and came out paralyzed from the jaw down, it took approx. 1 1/2 years
to get much of anything back but eventually I got back my upper body strength
and little movement below the hips. The pain hasn't gotten any
I have moderate to severe pain in my feet 24 hours a day. They tried tons of
drugs while I was at Baylor Rehab. to get it under control. Many nights I
couldn't even sleep & still up at 8:00 to 4:00 to do all the exercise groups
and training they had. Exhausted I was indeed then...but they did

Kevin,
It is so true and I am glad I am not the only one. People think I am over
reacting to a small pain. But I can't help it. It does make me catch my
breath and stop and wait for the spasms to pass.

That is a serious problem for us...not feeling things when they happen. I
fell in the garage... got up and went to work but had a "feeling" that all
was not right.. Went to the emergency room...I had a hairline fracture in my
knee... Put me back in a wheelchair for 3 months! No weight bearing... It
