I send most posts to the list so others who are reading can glean what they
need from my post. I've learned everything I know about TM from my computer
searches, however, the cold black and white facts didn't help me heal. This

I agree completely with Tim. I have read lots of usual information on
here but I also like to hear personal stories, etc that may, or may not,
help me with my daughter even better that I currently am.

I agree, Tim, with both this and your last post about God having a purpose
in everything.
This type of thing -- non-TM related posts -- comes up from time to time. I
do think they are helpful -- as others have said, it lifts some of the
depressing things so many have to deal with and help
Hey Jude,
I read this great book a few months ago called "90 Minutes In Heaven."
I highly recommend it. It gave pain a new face and a new journey. It's
by Don Piper. A very good read.

Personally, I couldn't disagree more. I love to read stories, jokes,
anticdotes from every one of you. It lets me know that not only do I
have this disease, but I'm not alone. And there are other human beings
out there who live full, active, fulfilled and fun lives. It gives me
hope and joy...n
Naomi,
God never makes a mistake. I don't believe he sent this to us. But, I
am convinced that it filtered through His fingers. He allowed it to
happen for a specific reason. If there were not a point to this disease
in your (my) life for His glory, it wouldn't have happened. Personally,

I rarely if ever write anything negative regarding the group. I
realize that all of our conditions are different and that many of us do
not work and have more computer time than others. As for myself I do
work fulltime and quite often I have to read dozens of e mails to the

Jude,
It's funny, I was just thinking the exact same thing before I logged into my
computer. I was thinking about where I stand in this life time. What do I
have to offer to being a meaningful person. Being a C4 Quad, I have no
movement on the right side and limited movement on the left
This feeling must be universal---I wrestle with it all of the time.
Whenever it overtakes me, and I do try hard to resist it, I soon
become extremely angry with both the Devic's and myself. Why can't I
have the stamina to work and be productive? Why did this horrid
disease come upon me and take
Yes Jude
I have had the feeling that I no longer have a purpose in life creep over me
since TM changed my past to my present. It's a tough feeling to admit to
others and even hard to admit to yourself. However, we can't let it define our
future.
I do have a purpose and so do you. Have you rea

Thank you for sending all the e-mail addresses.

Good on you Alton! I fully agree. If you can't work, volunteer. Several years ago, I was asked to go to a nursing home and visit with an older family friend. She was a retired teacher and had been diagnosed with macular degeneration. She was no longer able to read which she missed terribly
Losing physical capabilities does not, in itself, make you unable to
contribute to your world.
You might not work as you did before, so you must adapt.
If you are unable to hold a job you can still volunteer. Volunteer
your time, brains, experience, and computer skills. Be useful and

Regina, in my humble opinion the laughter and fun is at least (if not more)
important than all the other information we share.
I know I always feel better when there's a bit of fun happening. It's also
important (again IMHO) to let the newbies know that there is still life after
