Banding is a tight, or bandlike feeling that one gets at the sensory level. Mine is under the breasts. It's very uncomfortable, but not painful. Since being prescribed Tegretol for dystonic spasms, my banding has decreased. Grace

Cookie I think you will also get some relief from your TM neuropathic pain. On Oct 11th, I replaced my gabapentin rx with Lyrica at the suggestion of my Neuro. I was taking 600mg of gabapentin every 6 hours, but now take 75 mg Lyrica every 12 hours. My pain level is about the same, howe

Hi Cookie, Lyrica has been great for me. I had good luck with gabapentin (neurontin) but had to take about a pound of capsules a day. With Lyrica the pain relief is at least as good if not better and until the day comes that they let me smoke marijuana in my office I'll stick with the Lyrica

Cookie: I have stated this previouslyI have now been on Lyrica (450 mg) for about 2 years. For me this has been the most effective med I have taken for TM in 10 years. It has helped the pins & needles, numbness and excessive banding. I have encountered no side effects. Rob in New Jer
