Thanks for the update Jenna. I also talked to Pam last night - I guess right
after you called - and she is in good spirits, and of course just wants to get
the surgery done and start the healing process. She is one strong little lady.
And dear Jude - I am not keeping up with posts as I should,
We should talk about things as a group. mnay voices are heard better than just a few.

If it's religious or political and you DON'T like it then just delete
it.
Simple and done.
My daughter saw this article on Yahoo and sent it on to me. Very interesting
since some of us have TM/MS I thought you might want to read it...
It's certainly an improvement over what's being going on with some of the
TM'ers on this list. :)
Frank. welcome back!! you certainly arrive
Dear TM-ers, may I add the following on this subject:- Although the
majority of people on this list live in the U.S., I always thought of it as
international. I find these discussions distracting and annoying.

Way to go, Kevin! I was getting ready to ask to have my name removed and now I
don't think I will! As far as I'm concerned, if I don't want to read what is
on this site, it is so easy to just delete it and not worth the arguing. Life
is just too dang short for such foolishness!

I agree, asking for prayer is not forcing anyone's opinion onto the list. This
is all that gets some of us through the things that we have to live with and
that has gotten us where we are today.

Yes..I haven't seen this much activity in some time... Now we're spending
more time arguing about what should or shouldn't be posted and there has been
more political posting than I care to hear or read about... I've seen enough
already on TV.
Thank God (ohh...should I even post that..?) that
Whew!!! At least we've got a little blood flowing through the TMIC site,
good or bad!! I thought it had rolled up the rug and closed the door or had
taken my name out of the pot!!

It's been generally agreed on in the past that speaking naturally of
religion in terms of what helps you in dealing with TM is ok, but
"inspirational

it without spiritual undergirding. To me a request for praye
I am going to agree with the addition of religion. I have been silent on the
chronic requests for prayers and thanks to god and such...but if we are going
to eliminate politics lets get rid of religion as well. I delete more messages
now than I read so I can just continue to do that. But if we
Hi Everyone,
The list shouldn't be clogged with any political, religious, etc.

From a personal standpoint,I find it easiest to block the addresses of the
people that send mesages I do not care to read.

Mindy,
Yes that was what I was trying to say - Federal, State, or Local legislation
that is directly linked to funding or other that would apply to TM or other
rare neurological conditions.

I would have to disagree. I have yet to see a political post that
was strictly informational and documentable that compared without
bias, each candidates stand on TM and its survivors. (The issue of
abortion is not going to heal my spinal cord!)
The only political posts I want to see here
I do not understand...this list is not to be used to discuss
politics,religion,race etc.yet I have read a dozen postings stating
political views.I personally do not care what your political views
arethis is not the place to express them!

He will improve Medicare (McCain will not).
He is in favor of embryonic stem cell research.

I totally agree - the only political info that should be on this website should
ONLY include admendments or bills that affect our group's well being be in the

I would agree that it is not of benefit for those looking for advice, support,
etc. from fellow TM'ers to hear one-sided advertisements or promotional
materials from supporters of political candidates.
However, keep in mind that it is of benefit to be informed of such a candidate
who, although

I rarely post these but do want to comment on the whole Obama issue. I'm with
Frank, Obama will be a great president and I suspect the entire world will see
him as an improvement. I actually believe that most of the planet would see my

Dear All TMers,
I would disagree with the original e-mail.
Barack Obama will be a great president. He has an IQ of 140. He is physically
fit. I would direct ypu to Google Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama.
I have already voted for Obama, as I'll be here in Montreal through election
