Does anyone know anything about Immunocal? Please voice your opinion pro or con. I am thinking of starting my husband on it. He has lost his desire to eat. He barely has one meal a day. He does use Ensure Plus 1 to 3 a day. He is getting so thin and weak. He is 80 diagnosed with TM about 3-4 years ago. I have lost track. He may also had a stroke. Getting some confusion about things. What ever they need to do to see the words is fine with me. I have been on this list for about 4 years now and have gotten some good advice. Although I don't speak up often, I am always reading the posts. And I am so happy to have found people who are going through the same things as me. No one understands better than someone who has experienced the same thing. Thanks everyone for being there. Grace, thank you for bringing the subject up. It has never bothered me that people write in caps. There are just so many of us with eye issues, what's the big deal if we make it a little easier for those to read??? In the big scheme of things, I think we all have more things to be concerned about than reading in caps. Supporting each other is far more important in my book. (Complete with *language*.) You know, this little group is for the most part---wonderful. It was the very first site that I discovered at the time of my NMO diagnosis, and I have been made to feel at home here. It's like having a virtual *family*. This unnecessary haranguing, of a long standing member, has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Think of it this way: In the big scheme of things, say, ten years from now, is it really going to *matter* if someone had to use caps in order to communicate? I know that I, for one, will certainly not be thinking about something as trivial as that whenever I prepare to meet my Maker. Let's put it to rest, okaye? Grace -----Inline Message Follows----- Ya know people, it used to be in the old days back when that typing in caps meant someone was yelling. Well, maybe in the normal world, but not here. Use any size caps you want if that's what you need to do. Personally, I'm twelve years into this mess, and my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I have to use a larger cap that a ten to even see what I'm typing, and, I prefer a 12 or better to see what I'm reading. If someone thinks your yelling, tell them what my Saintly Great Grandmother used to say. Ha ha, figure that one out. Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. I too have ringing in my ears. I have had TM since 7-28-00, and I can't remember a time before TM that I had that problem. I've always been curious to wonder if having the pressure on the spinal cord, or perhaps having spinal taps had something to do with it. I too read the Dr. Gott article, and at the time, the Rite Aide Pharmacy and the Walmart Pharmacy were sold out of the Lipoflavinoid. I haven't been back to try to get any, but I'd like to try it. I don't notice the ringing much during the day, mostly because of all the other noise, but when I'm sitting reading at night, or before I go to bed and it's quiet, it's the most noticible. I am experiencing constant noise in my ears that reminds me of the crickets and other insect noises on a warm summer night. One ear is louder than the other and the pitch is different too. It is $25 for a box of 100 with a suggested dose of 1 or 2 tablets 3 x daily. Has anyone used it?
