For what its worth, without quantitative evidence well never know just
how wide spread, or not, this problem really is. I reported it back in
April and someone else was kind enough to log it as a bug. That was 3

In meantime I found by accident that there is for Squeezebox Classic an
entry "Podcasts" and "Podcast Player". Seems that "Podcasts" is using
the podcasts you enter on your Squeezebox Server (installing the
podcast plugin on the server). The other one is just having the

The bug mentions Windows 7 and that other services in Windows 7 start
having problems. If that's the actual problem I'm not sure what we can
do about it. Have you tried another OS?

Only the old style iPods can serve as a USB driv
This really is unacceptable. With all the beta testing, software updates
this is really amateurish on logitech's part.

to be used also as a storage device (harddisk)-> so maybe just a matter
of how the disk was initialy formatted...

Yes, playing music from my Ipod via the Touch is working fine.
I just connected the Ipod via the USB-cable to the Touch and started
SqueezeServer on Touch.
Via the menu item "My music" you can browse and play all music.
However the MIX-features doesn't work well. It has some limitations on
