Thanks John, that really clarifies things.
Oh well, guess I'll have to be content with digital coax out to my
Benchmark, until I upgrade to a new-and-improved DAC down the road.

Thanks for the mention of this review. My copy of the magazine was in
the mail along with Stereophile. Since I'd been looking forward to
Kal's Stereophile review, I hadn't even opened HT.
It's always nice to read another favorable review of a product that you
own!

It was very nice to find the new issue of Stereophile in my mailbox
Friday evening. An excellent review, Kal! I share your enthusiam for
this device, and I'll "never look back."
JA's measurements and comments were good to see as well. I'm just
using the analog outputs, so I guess there's an e

The reviewer, David Vaughn, gave the Touch a "Home Theater Top Pick"
distinction.
This was included in an issue where all the other equipment was $5000

I was already afraid that the picture show is too much for the Touch,

Well, me asking for this not to turn into an arguement about power cords
has well and truly gone out the window. But, I must say, the opinions I
have just read are the best I have ever seen on the discussion of power
cords. Excellent.

Hello,
I am gutted to say that I noticed a white line across the screen
tonight on my SB Touch so I turned it off and then on again and the
screen then went fuzzy and bright white almost like all of the colours
were inverted like a negative. All the controls were still functioning.

I think that might be a problem right there. The unit would not boot up
every time I've upgraded firmware while FreeSans.ttf and

I've had good luck with the ActionTec MegaPlug A/V 200 (mbs) - pretty
much everything in the house, including 2 Touchs, are wired up
I'm not following the "Now Playing" problem. You just touch the screen
and the Now Playing screen scrolls through a number of different
views.
If you mean setting/saving/altering player settings on the Touch via
the SBS > Settings UI, this is by design.
The legacy players (SB2/3, Boom, Receiver)

I connect wirelessly to my Touch (computer upstairs, Touch downstairs).
I sometimes get rebuffering problems so would like to connect through a
cable.
Homeplugs seem to have come down in price but they vary in transfer
rates-is 85Mbps sufficient or should I go for a 300Mbps version?

Nice job on the review Kal!
Except now you'll have to hang out in the Audiophile forum here to help
folks hook up their USB DACs :-)
Did you try the touch with a USB hard drive and were just too nice to
mention the issues?
Nice one,

Hello all.
Bought my first Touch a week ago, and I'm still unable to change 'Now
playing'. When entering settings, all possibilities are checked... I
uncheck the ones I don't want, go back, and when reentering the
settings, everything's checked again?!

Hi all,
I am using my Touch with attached USB drive.
It contains 28GB Music files and 90GB Photos, both in separate
subfolders.
My problem is that the diashow can be started, but after it runs some
minutes, it can't be stopped - it simply runs forever, the menu never
appears, even "switch off" vi
My r9009 update to my Touch was effortless and flawless.

I can see what the OP means. I went from a Classic to the Touch and find
the Touch less readable from my couch (about 4 meters).
I would accept it, were it not that there seems to be room enough on
the display to support a larger font so it would be really usuable to
give users the option to go f
