I use the Touch with a pair of AudioEngine A5 speakers (self powered, self amplified) for a mobile audio solution. The Touch usually ends up on top of the main A5 source speaker (the speaker with the power supply and amps) and has no ill effect on the resulting audio. -- toby10

Having studied the code in this vol100 mod, it is obvious that all that is happening is that the calculated value (65536 when vol=max) is being hardcoded to 65536. The computer is doing EXACTLY the same amount of work in both cases and the volume is exactly the same - to eliminate ANY doubt about
