Thanks for the detailed response
I checked my router, it's not supported, I think it's too basic for
wrt.
Might just be time to upgrade to an N router and see how that does in
my house.

Not easily. The Touch will not run off both wired and wireless
simultaneously. You have to go into the setup menus and select which
way you want it to connect.
There are two ways with external boxes to do what you want, a wireless
bridge, or a router which gets its WAN fron your wifi router.

As has been mentioned the Touch HAS to connect to the internet at least
once in order to download its firmware. Thats not actually strictly
speaking true, it IS possible to load the firmware from a USB stick but
its a more complicated procedure. Its MUCH easier to do if it can
connect to the inter
I am very interested in the Squeezebox touch to play a fairly large
collection of mp3s.
I first wanted to go down the USB external HD route, but I heard the
tinySBS is not as nice and especially the 100 playlist limit annoys
me.
So I started looking at the networked version. I don't have a serve

Fred, the CUE sheet you show above references a .wav file, but you say
that you're using .flac files. Could that be the problem?
Have you tried exporting any CUE sheets to separate files, rather than
using embedded CUE sheets?
Is this only broken in the Touch's internal server? Have you tried it

Hi Phil,
well, my brand new SBT is my very first venture into audio modes other
than CDs, which I've been exclusively using since 1986. I certainly

What Playlist format are you creating? m3u?
Yes, I rescan.
As I wrote I've tried all the formats.
I see the playlist, but its not playing... or to nothing.

Now I solved it.I have the same music folders on my computer and the
NAS.

How is it not working?
You cannot see it or you can see it but it's empty?
Where did you save the playlist? In the same place as the old one?

You must initially connect to either MySB.com or SBS 7.5.x on your
computer. This is necessary to update your Touch's two year old
factory firmware.
To connect to SBS on your computer, can you "swipe" the screen right to
left? Or scroll down to other options below the current screen?
It's been

Yes, what you want is exactly what SBT is all about. The only

More trouble: I now upgraded to "fab4_7.6.0_r9447.bin". This version
does not appear to recognize my FLAC files. When I start the server, it
searches through the files on the USB stick. When the search is complete
and I go back to the main menu and search for a track, it only gives me

can you not just rip them normally instead of using cuesheets? -
cuesheets are not useful in the context of streaming.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
Touch(wired/XP) - Audiolense 3.3/2.0+INGUZ DRC - MF M1 DAC -
No luck --- I successfully upgraded to 7.6beta, but the initial problem
persists: After searching for a track, I see the desired track on the
display but the SBT plays the first track of the FLAC file, not the one
I searched for.
