Supposedly the latest version of VLC will stream too but I have not
managed to get it working in OS XFWIW did get VLC streaming to work
with Linux and Windows with

The first squeezebox I ever installed was a Slim Devices Squeezebox 3,
around 6 years ago, and I seem to recall the quick start manual it came
with was indeed better than what's available nowadays. Even being an IT
professional, it still took me around 2 hours of time to get everything
up and runn

Try coaxial.
Same with me, have exactly the same set-up and the same issues as

OT and it can't be to cheap otherwise audiophiles won't buy or they will
give bad reviews and replace with something more expensive .
