Touch does not have the preamp volume that SB3 have only the the digital volume controll . I'm still trying to remember what plugin that was that could fix volumes at selected levels , but that only works when using ones own server . There is ofcourse the possibility of hacking some files direct

What kind of amp do you have now , I find that they vary a lot but the output level of the Touch is "normal" it similar to what most CD players have . You are not trying to use the phono input ? Instead of aux or CD or anything , the phone input is strictly for turntables .

Don't you guy don't have this problem that only 5% of your volume control is used on your stereo amps? Turning it further is too loud for the living room...? I remember Pioneer amps have a much better volume range/control on their amps. --
