Hi,
you are right (maybe I did not use the right vocabulary). I use Lame to
encode my files in MP3 when I listen to music on my mobile device, but I
dont use it on my squeezebox (on which I need the best quality). I was
just mentioning that the 192KHZ files that cause problem on my SBT are

even with a very powerful WIFI system, there can still be bandwidth
issues in WIFI and still be WIFI interference, etc. This sounds like
the classic "two hop" problem. You have one wifi hop from router to
laptop, then a 2nd wifi hop from router to SBT. You're not seeing the
issue with non-hires
The flac settings lock reasonable to me dont do anything .
There is one strange thing you say in your first post that your hirez
files gets trancoded by LAME ?
Thats unexpected should be SoX and possibly flac but not. LAME .
Lame is an mp3 encoder/decoder !!
You want your 24/192 flac as 24/96 fl
Wait a minute re the file type settings , must check my own server not
at home now ?
Is not SoX an option anywhere ??
I migth be wrong about that

In theory if you're using 192/24 files then yes EDO could mean a greatly
increased bandwidth is used. Without EDO your server will transcode to
96/24 but with EDO and a 192 capable DAC you'll get the full bitrate
being sent through your network.
With files of a lesser bitrate I wouldn't expect E

I had posted a question on TIDAL's website questioning Squeezebox
support, and received the following reply. Sounds like this could be
great streaming option for us.

Hi thanks for your answer and thanks for your welcome :-)
Regarding 2), my SBT uses ethernet cables, as well as my server (all are
connected to a router provided by my internet operator). everything is
wired.
When I look at FLAC settings it is as follow:
FLAC- AIFF - disabled
- FLAC - Nat
2. Is the Touch wired via ethernet or on wifi , with such high datarates
wired is prefered and more likely to work . It is also strongly sugested
that server you are using is wired to .
Also stream the files as FLAC not PCM/WAV you get almost 40% reduction

Hi all,
I use the Enhanced Digital Output on my SBT.
SBT is plugged via USB to a 24bits /192Khz capable USB DAC.
I experience 2 issues:
1) when the SBT reboot or when I change album, I hear a little "Tchhht"
in my speakers (last 1sec approximately). Do you guys experience the
same thing on your
